
Stephanie Hare | University of Bristol | PDRA (2018 ~ 2020) Stephanie joined Champs in 2018 working in the Chemistry department under the supervision of Profs. Barry Carpenter and David Glowacki. After a very successful 2 years Stephanie has now taken up a new Postdoctoral Researcher position at the University of Washington, Chemical Engineering.

Timothy Hele | Leeds University | PDRA (2020 ~ 2020)
Timothy joined the Champs project working with Professor Dmitry Shalashilin. Following a short Post Doctoral position moved onto UCL as a Proleptic Lecturer in July 2020, and took up a Royal Society University Research Fellowship in October of that year.

Jonathan Rawlinson | Leeds University | PDRA (2020 ~ 2021)
Jonathan joined as a Research Associate in 2020 working on the Champs project at Leeds University under the supervision of Profs. Dmitry Shalashilin and Darryl Holms. He has since moved on to beginning Teachers Training to become a secondary school teacher.

Makrina Agaoglou | University of Bristol | PDRA (2019 ~ 2021)
Makrina joined the project in 2019 and has spent time working under the supervision of Prof. Stephen Wiggins. Makrina has now taken up a new position at the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) at ICMAT – Institute of Mathematical Sciences under the supervision of Ana M. Mancho.

Matthaios Katsanikas | University of Bristol | PDRA (2017 ~ 2021)
Matthaios was another of our very first Champs PDRA’s cohort when the project first launched in 2017. After a productive 4 years working under the supervision of Profs. Stephen Wiggins we are pleased to report that Matthaios has now taken up a new permanent position for the Academy Athens.

Vladimir Krajnak | University of Bristol | PDRA (2017 ~ 2021)
Vladimir was part of our very first Champs PDRA’s cohort when the project first launched in 2017. After a productive 4 years working under the supervision of Profs. Stephen Wiggins we are pleased to report that Vladimir has now taken up a new Postdoctoral Researcher position at the Inria centre at Université Côte d’Azur.

Lars Bratholm | University of Bristol | PDRA (2017 ~ 2021)
Lars was also part of the first Champs PDRA’s cohort, working in Chemistry from the beginning of the project in 2017. Working with the Champs project team for 4 years under the supervision of Dr David Glowacki. Lars was a key part of the Chemistry team and has since Champs taken on an exciting new role as a Researcher in the Pharmaceutical Industry in Denmark.

Robin Shannon | University of Bristol | PDRA (2018 ~ 2021)
Robin Shannon worked under Dr David Glowacki and Professor Dmitry Shalashilin supervision on the Champs project and has now moved to the University of Leeds as a Postdoctoral Researcher.

Shibabrat Naik | University of Bristol | PDRA (2018 ~ 2021)
Shibabrat a productive 3 years working under the supervision of Prof. Stephen Wiggins we are pleased to report that Shibabrat has now taken up a new Postdoctoral Researcher position at the University of Warwick

Broncio Aguilar SanJuan | University of Bristol | PDRA (2019 ~ 2021)
Bronio after 2 years working as a Champs Post Doc under the supervision of Prof. Stephen Wiggins we are pleased to report that Broncio has secured a position at the University of Oxford as a software engineer.

Broncio Aguilar SanJuan | University of Bristol | PDRA (2018 ~ 2021)
Francisco started working on the Champs project in 2018, joined a year after the first cohort. After a productive 3 years working under the supervision of Profs. Stephen Wiggins, Francisco has returned to Mexico to continue to work as a researcher.

Jonathan Barnoud | University of Bristol | PDRA (2019 ~ 2022)
Jonathan joined Champs in 2019 working in the Chemistry department under the supervision of Profs. Barry Carpenter and David Glowacki. After a very successful 3 years Jonathan has now taken up a new position as a Researcher at CiTIUS (Centro Singular de Investigación en Tecnoloxías Intelixentes)

Grace (Hsiao-Han) Chuang | University of Bristol + Leeds | PDRA (2020 ~ 2023)
Grace joined Champs during lockdown which was a challenging time working remotely for everyone but despite this Grace quickly fitted into the Champs project team, working closely with the other PDRA’s and initially under Professor Wiggins supervision. After 1 year in Bristol in September 2021 Grace moved to Leeds to work with the Leeds team under Professor Shalashilin’s supervision and with his group. Grace made huge progress at Leeds and became a valuable part of the team. After a very successful just over 2 years Grace has now taken up a new position at Max Planck as a researcher.
