Darryl D. Holm | Imperial College London | CoI | d.holm@imperial.ac.uk

Professor of Applied Mathematics, recognized for contributions to the field of geometric mechanics of dynamical systems. He has pioneered the use of momentum maps and symmetry in stochastic dynamical equations, with applications in mechanics, fluid dynamics and nonlinear wave equations. He is the recipient of a Royal Society Wolfson Merit Award and a European Research Council Advanced Grant, and a laboratory Fellow at the Los Alamos National Laboratory where he was Deputy Leader of the Applied Mathematics Group in the Theoretical Division and the Director of the Center for Nonlinear Studies.
